the Woodland gardens

In the older part of Olinda a small roadside frontage hides a private acreage of woodlands.

Initially the gardens entice you from the back verandah. Down the stairs and through the gnarled Rhododendrons, the gardens suddenly open up. From this point you may notice rock walls, a carpet of bulbs in spring and a range of wildlife from native favourites including wombats and wallabies to wild rabbits and if you’re lucky a family of deer.

The long established plantings including blackwood, maple, beech, juniper, oak and silver birch provide large cool shaded areas to escape the summer sun.

Above all else this garden represents 1.5 acres of space to play with your dog away from busy roads and other dogs. A totally private space if you want it.
